Bank Holiday

Bank Holiday

Tuesday 28th May 2013

So sorry if it haven't heard from us for a while we are having a break for the Bank Holiday. Originally, introduced by the Bank of England, it was a way of observing 33 saint days. Now there are 8 Bank Holidays a year in the UK. On a Bank holiday financial institutions such as banks, post offices and building societies are closed and generally offices, and factories close too. Exchange students are happy as schools do not open during a bank holiday either This bank holiday (Spring bank holiday) has been really good as most of the UK saw sunshine. During a bank holiday, it is typical that British people will visit the seaside, do some DIY ( do it yourself jobs in and around the home) or do some shopping.
